Absolutely Ribbeting!

Absolutely Ribbeting!

Dear All,

It has been an absolute pleasure to see the children enjoying the sunshine and making the most of Aysgarth’s beautiful grounds and facilities over the past week.

Continuing our Rio theme this term, the children have immersed themselves in exploring rainforest flora and fauna and have focussed upon frogs, parrots and kapok trees in particular. The Reception children have taken this one step further in producing their own passports; perhaps in the hope that their parents might take them to Brazil for a summer holiday!

Closer to home the PP3 pupils visited the Prep School in preparation for the inter-school maths challenge and, at the other end of the spectrum, the youngest Aysgarthians have enjoyed all that the outdoors has to offer right here on our doorstep.

Whilst our fingers remain crossed for a continuation of the lovely weather, may I remind you that sunhats and sun cream are essential if your children are to be able to make the most of the outdoors.

With good weather in mind, may I take this opportunity to thank all who volunteered to oversee the running of this year’s Strawberry Fayre? For those of you who are new to the school, the event is an opportunity for Pre-Prep children and parents to enjoy an afternoon of activities ranging from a bouncy castle and face painting to the sampling of cakes and strawberries.  I am particularly grateful to Suzie Dinsdale who has offered to help coordinate those of you who may be willing to help.  There will be a further meeting to get some firm ideas on paper and do please contact either Suzie or Rachel Pinkney for any further information.

With all best wishes,

Rob and Lottie Morse
