I loved my time at Aysgarth and I hope it produces many more Olympic champions.

Matthew Pinsent, winner of 4 Olympic gold medals and Old Aysgarthian.

In recent years Aysgarth has had many individual and team successes. We have had a number of county cricketers selected for North Yorkshire and Yorkshire many of whom have continued to play county cricket at their senior schools as well as a number of boys selected for the national prep schools rugby side at U13 and U11 levels.

Many of our top teams have recorded unbeaten seasons in our three major sports and the cross-country runners often return with silverware from many of the top northern events.

In 2013, Aysgarth entered the history books and snatched victory from one of the largest Prep Schools in the country to become the National Champions at the Rosslyn Park Sevens Tournament. The U13 team reached a pinnacle in prep school sport and joined a unique group of players who have won the largest schools sevens tournament in the world, defeating Dulwich College Prep School in the final, a school five times our size.

In the last few years, the 1st XV rugby team has also triumphed in some of the biggest seven’s tournaments on the prep school circuit as well as winning the national prep schools rugby tournament at Sedbergh.

In the last five years we have also won the national prep schools tennis competition at Repton whilst some of our pupils have also been incredibly successful shooting, skiing and riding.
