Dear All,

Congratulations to the whole of the Pre-Prep for hosting such a successful Open Morning last week.  The children were wonderful guides and were rightly proud of their school.

We have really enjoyed looking at all the fantastic work the children have created.  From castles and beanstalks to nests and chickens—the photos inside this edition are testament to a busy and productive week.  We look forward to the continuation of the lovely weather which  certainly helps us all to enjoy this jam packed term.

With best wishes,
Rob and Lottie Morse

Early Years News

Many different versions of the story of Jack and the Beanstalk provided the focus for Reception this week.  They have been sharing the stories with each other and ‘hot seating’ the different characters.
Inspired by the story they have been planting some beans, although they may have to wait a little while to find out if they are magical beans!

PP3 art work

In art the PP3 children have been studying the work of Antony Gormley and his collaborative sculptures.  The children have been recreating the famous Field Series figures. We had a go at sketching the figures and then created mock up figures from play-dough.  We hope to create a whole class sculpture using clay.  Look out for our masterpiece around school!

Forest School

PP2’s practically perfect prose

PP2 have been talking about alliteration and writing tongue twisters about some knights.  Can you say them quickly?
