Grandparents Tea and a fabulous Children's Theatre performance

Grandparents Tea and a fabulous Children's Theatre performance

From the Head's Office

The Pre-Prep bounced with excitement on Friday afternoon as the children welcomed 55 Grandparents to their classrooms to share their work, photographs and stories about school life. It is such a privilege to be able to contribute in a small way towards the special relationship between the children and their Grandparents. Watching the pride with which the children spoke about their classes was very special indeed! Thank you to all who attended, and to our Pre-Prep governor, Melissa Bowring who was also able to join the fun. We started this week with fabulous children’s theatre, telling the story of ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark’. The workshops which followed opened up opportunities for creative thinking and wild imaginations! Who knew there would be so many different ways to make a lonely ‘Mrs Moon’ feel happy and find her magic again! I look forward to reading the story writing which will follow. Finally as the weather has turned rather chilly in recent days, please do ensure that your child has a warm coat, hat, gloves and wellingtons in school as we love to get outside in all weather.

With best wishes,

Susie Drake, Head of Pre-Prep
