Guide Dog in Training

Guide Dog in Training

From the Head’s Office

This morning, classes were visited by Mr Brown (Mrs Rawson’s father) and his guide dog puppy, Natalie to mark Guide Dog Week. Our children demonstrated their superb concentration and listening skills during an explanation about how guide dogs are trained. Thank you Mr Brown for giving your time generously and answering so many of the children’s questions! We will be collecting for the Guide Dogs for the Blind at our Christmas service.
We all eagerly await the opening of the improved Reynolds Hall tomorrow afternoon. All Pre-prep children will join a workshop with Apollo 5 in the morning and PP3 will join the Prep School for the first opening performance at 4.30pm.  All Pre-Prep parents are invited to the 4.30pm performance (please let Liz Foster know if you plan to attend).  Please could I ask parents to pre-book the after school club if you would like to use this facility whilst you attend the opening as places are limited.
Our house captains have been busy collecting ideas for the further development of the school playground. The children will present their list of suggestions at the end of the week so ideas can be considered by APPA, who will be funding the majority of the equipment.
Finally please could parents kindly refrain from using mobile phones whilst driving in the car park and exit road. Thank you for helping us to keep the children safe.
With best wishes,  Susie Drake,  Head of Pre-Prep
