Launch of Aysgarth's Annual Maths Challenge

Launch of Aysgarth's Annual Maths Challenge

From the Head’s Office

The excitement is mounting as we prepare for our annual Pre-Prep Sports Day on Friday.  The children have been organising their own race training at playtimes and we all wait eagerly to find out the challenge for this year’s parents race ...!  Please could you make sure your child has their full PE kit in school this week.

PP3 enjoyed a very successful ‘Maths Challenge’ afternoon with children from Queen Mary’s School, Masham and Crakehall.  There was lots of fun, tension and excitement with our children proving to be experts at ‘Crunch’ and very quick in the Maths relay.  Further photo’s can be found in the centre pages.  Well done to all of our exceptional mathematicians who took part.

Thank you to all the parents who attended our information evening for reception class starters last week and a warm welcome to those families who have joined us for the ‘step up morning’ today.  I still find it remarkable how quickly children settle into life at our Pre-Prep.  As I write, we have just had a glorious playtime in the sunshine and it was such a challenge to spot our new starters!  All are playing happily and exploring the playground with new friends.

With best wishes, Susie Drake,  Head of Pre-Prep
