From the Head’s Office
Well, we knew it was only time before the Pre-Prep would be nominated for the ice bucket challenge! Mrs Barlow and myself will be nominating the rest of the staff team and we will hold a “drenching en masse” towards the end of the week. Staff will be donating to Cystic Fibrosis, the Aysgarth charity this year, and we would like to extend the opportunity to ‘soak a teacher’ to the children too. Children who would like to take part should bring a sandcastle bucket and donation for Cystic Fibrosis into school on Thursday. The exact timing of the soaking will depend upon the great Yorkshire weather!
The popularity of our before and after school care is presenting some issues at peak times. Please could you help us to predict numbers by booking your child’s place in advance. This includes children who have older siblings in PP3 or the Prep school. Could we also remind parents to inform their child’s teacher if he / she is to be collected by someone else at the end of the school day.
With best wishes,
Susie Drake, Head of Pre-Prep

Early Years have been making the most of the lovely weather we have had so far this term, by getting out and about, including visits to ‘Mr MacGregor’s garden’. There has been much exploring and finding out, as well as a few apples to pick! We have used apples for counting and weighing, as well as making some delicious apple muffins. Lots of fun!
