From the Head's Office
This has been a week of such contrasts in the Pre-Prep. We hosted a very successful Open Morning on Friday and our children positively bounced with pride and confidence when talking to our visitors about their school. Our thanks go to Mrs Prudhoe and Mrs Storer who were able to share a parental perspective and to the team around Aysgarth who helped to present the school in its best light as well as keep the children busy and engaged during the morning. Thank you all!
We also have taken time to mark Remembrance Day and the events in Paris in recent days. The maturity, consideration and respect shown by the children, both through their actions and their questions during these services was remarkable.
Finally, after possibly the longest house search in recent history, congratulations go to Charlotte Philips and Rob who moved into their new home this weekend. We hope you enjoy many happy hot chocolates in front of the log burner!
With best wishes,
Susie Drake, Head of Pre-Prep
Assembly theme for the week: Doing your best
Grandparents' Afternoon Tea
The invitations have been sent out and grandparents are welcome to arrive in Pre-Prep from 2pm so that children can show them their classrooms and work. At 2.45pm tea will be served in the Prep School Dining Room and then grandparents are welcome to join the assembly in the Chapel if they wish.
If grandparents are taking children home at the end of the school day, please inform your child's teacher.
