From the Head’s Office
It never fails to amaze me how something very small can make a profound difference to a place. This has been the case with the gorgeous wellies you have helped the children to plant and which have transformed our little porch to a place filled with colour, creativity and the most glorious aromas. I now find children lingering to sniff and compare, lying sprawled out on the mat looking closely and chattering about the textures, shapes and designs. We are all improving our plant identification skills too! Thank you to Mrs Gaven and all who supported this project.
We enjoyed a delightful evening of music and great company at Constable Burton Hall last week. Thank you to the Wyvill family for kindly hosting this event and to all the parents who joined us and helped to welcome prospective parents to Aysgarth.
Summer term is always filled with fun after school activities and picnics, but do please keep enjoying stories and reading with your children too! We always try to hear the children read in school and recommend that children read daily at home as well.
With best wishes, Susie Drake, Head of Pre-Prep

PP1’s visit to Thorp Perrow
Class 1 have been studying trees and owls this year so a trip to Thorp Perrow was the perfect day out.
They studied the trees and flowers, looking at all the signs of spring on display.
They also watched the birds of prey and even got to stroke the owls.
The children really enjoyed their day out in the sunshine and behaved beautifully.
More pictures on Face Book.
PP3 are setting up a fundraising venture this term. Please support them by celebrating the end week and buying a treat for your children.
