Football, Rugby and Lego Men Flying Paper Planes!

Football, Rugby and Lego Men Flying Paper Planes!

Newcastle Falcons V London Welsh.

On Sunday we arrived at Kingston Park, the home of the Newcastle Falcons, to watch them play against London Welsh. We stood in the South stand and had a really good view of the game. The final score was 36 - 7 to the Falcons. It was a great game and we got to see lots of tries and make lots of noise!

'Lego men can't fly'!

Last term in Science and English lessons we designed and built different types of paper areoplanes. When we had made our planes we put lego people inside as passengers. Then we flew them across the width of the swimming pool to see which were the most successful. Some of us were journalists and some of us were audience. We had Miss Schofield as the lifeguard. The journalists then had to interview the pilots about their planes, finding out about what made the plane fly and what they may change in the future. Some planes made it across the pool. Later on in our English lessons we had to write a newspaper article about the areoplanes.
