Celebrity Chef Day

The Head Chef at Aysgarth delighted the children at lunch with a menu based on celebrity chef James Martin's recipes.

The menu:

Chicken with mozarella, fresh sage and bacon, served with new potatoes, medley of vegetables and braised red cabbage. Dessert consisted of a delicious strawberries and cream sponge cake.

"The lunch was really good! I love the mozarella and red cabbage. I never normally like red cabbage!" Timmy Lawson-Tancred, aged 13.

Head Chef, Michael Pearson said "We thought it would be nice to cook something a bit different for the children. Choosing a celebrity chef to base a meal on allows us to use our creativity and imagination".

James Martin was born into a chef's life as his father ran the catering at nearby Castle Howard. So who's next.....well, the boys (and Mr Barlow) are asking for a Jamie Oliver recipe!
