The Aysgarth School Foundation | What can be achieved?
-
Widening access:
Aysgarth is a community where pupils are prepared for life in a diverse world. Through bursaries, the Foundation aims to draw pupils from a broader spectrum of society and make it possible for low and middle income families, both Old Aysgarthian and not, to benefit from an Aysgarth education. It is this education that develops the values, independence, confidence and capabilities required to achieve great things.
-
Developing the School:
Aysgarth is unique in its focus on all boys boarding in a small school in which they can thrive, and gives pupils all the qualities that allow them to flourish in the country’s most selective public schools. The Foundation’s help will allow the School to make the investments necessary to ensure Aysgarth remains as one of the country’s leading prep schools while enhancing what makes it distinctive.
-
Becoming the best:
“I loved my time at Aysgarth and I hope it produces many more Olympic champions.”
Sir Matthew Pinsent. Winner of 4 Olympic gold medals.
-
Testing the limits:
“The School provides a haven where young people can find a set of values from which to live the rest of their lives.”
Robert Swan OBE. First man to walk to both poles and Special Envoy to the Director General of UNESCO.
-
Succeeding in business:
“I came away from Aysgarth full of enthusiasm and felt the world was my oyster.”
Crispin Odey. Founder of Odey Asset Management.
