Aysgarth School is situated in Newton-le-Willows, Bedale at the gateway of Wensleydale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This rural setting is sheltered from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Aysgarth is a purpose built School with extensive grounds and sports pitches stretching over 50 acres.
Transport links
By road: Just 10 minutes off the A1, convenient for Catterick Garrison, Ripon, Harrogate and Northallerton.
By train: Northallerton (20 minutes) and Darlington (30 minutes) both on the main line from London to Scotland. Staff escort pupils to and from Edinburgh and London at half term and exeats.
By air: Durham Tees Valley airport (45 minutes), Newcastle and Leeds-Bradford (one hour),
Manchester Airport (two hours).
Escorted Travel
Our pupils come from across the UK and overseas. For exeats and half terms, we escort pupils on trains to and from London and Edinburgh, allowing them to experience a top-class education in a rural setting. Local children often start in our Pre-Prep (aged 3-8 years) and move on to the Prep School as day pupils or boarders
