1. A Warm, Supportive Community

• Family Feel: Small class sizes foster a nurturing, close-knit environment. Morning handovers ensure parents and staff collaborate to support each child.

• Wellbeing Focus: We actively measure wellbeing because happy children learn best. Mutual respect and support are core values.

• Hot Meals: No packed lunches—children enjoy hot, nutritious meals with staff daily, practising table manners, conversation, and healthy habits. Snacks of fresh fruit, crackers, and vegetable crudités are provided twice daily.

2. A Unique Year 3 Experience

Unlike most schools, our Year 3 remains in Pre-Prep. This extra year in a nurturing environment builds maturity and confidence, offering roles like Head of House, Head Boy/Girl, and opportunities to guide visitors or read publicly. Children enjoy being “big fish in a small pond,” ready for their next step.

• Tailored Learning: Small classes and a non-selective approach ensure every child’s unique needs are met, with differentiated activities to suit various learning styles.

• ‘Special Books’: Each child’s literacy journey is documented in a keepsake book, used alongside PIMs to track numeracy progress.

• Work Ethic: We nurture a strong work ethic early, preparing children for future success.

• Phonics Testing: Early identification of challenges ensures tailored support through class teaching and SEN input.

5. Outstanding Opportunities

• Specialist Teaching: Children benefit from expert teaching in sports, French, IT, art, and music, either on-site or at the Prep site at purpose-built facilities like our state-of-the-art Art & DT block.

• Trips and Activities: Each class enjoys two trips per term, and our whole-school summer topic promotes mixed-year collaboration and diverse role experiences.

• Sports: From age six, children participate in fixtures and high-level coaching across four days a week, with weekly swimming lessons starting in Nursery and the option of Swim Club for twice-weekly sessions.

• Drama: Access to the incredible Reynolds Hall and opportunities to perform and grow confidence. LAMDA available from Year 2.

6. Outdoor Adventures and Child-Led Learning

• Outdoor Learning: Our stunning grounds and walled garden create endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.

• EYFS Adventures: Weekly "Riddle Diddles" adventures inspire imagination and reinforce phonics in a magical way.
