Bursaries & Scholarships

The School is delighted to offer a number of opportunities to recognise pupils with outstanding talent in a given area as well as to offer help with fees for those who would not otherwise have the financial means to join the school.

The two options listed below can be combined in the form of a talent-based bursary, for which a particular talent will provide the supporting evidence for the application for funding.

Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to new pupils joining the prep school (from age 8 and above) who are able to demonstrate an outstanding talent in a particular area. Discount on the fees may be awarded to the value of up to 20%.

If your child has a particular talent, inside or outside of the classroom, we would love to hear about him. Please contact the admissions office as early as possible to discuss the possibility of a scholarship assessment.

Means tested bursary awards

The Governors of Aysgarth are committed to broadening access to the school by offering to eligible parents/guardians means-tested financial support with the payment of schools fees.

With the support of the Aysgarth School Foundation, we are delighted to be able to offer help with the payment of fees for families who would not otherwise be able to afford them. This financial support is also known as a bursary which may be in the form of an award of up to 100% of fees. Awards are subject to an assessment of the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants. All information is provided and received in strict confidence.

Each year, we help a number of families to access an education here at Aysgarth. If you are looking to offer your child the very best educational opportunity, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
