Eileen Harrison-Topham, a dedicated member of the Aysgarth Old Aysgarthian community, has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in The King's New Year Honours List. This prestigious recognition acknowledges her outstanding service to communities in East and North Yorkshire. Eileen served as the OAA Secretary for an impressive 30 years from 1986 to 2016, playing a crucial role in keeping the Aysgarth community connected. It was a delight to see her at the recent OA Carol Service.
