A Warm Welcome to Doobori Hazorika-Stéphany, our new Head of Pre-Prep

We are delighted to welcome Doobori Hazorika-Stéphany as the new Head of Pre-Prep at Aysgarth. With over 17 years of teaching and leadership experience, she brings a wealth of expertise, a love of learning, and a deep commitment to nurturing every child.

Her vision is simple but powerful: a Pre-Prep filled with abundant happiness and a deep desire to learn and discover. Rooted in traditional values, it’s a warm, supportive family where children are treasured, kindness is encouraged, and curiosity is celebrated.

In her words, no child is left behind. Lessons are carefully tailored to each individual, balancing firm academic foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy with the awe and wonder of early childhood. From Nursery through to Year 3, pupils enjoy a rich blend of structured learning, creative exploration, and outstanding extra-curricular opportunities.

For Doobori, knowing each child is the starting point for success. Families are welcomed from day one into an open, close relationship with the school, joining in celebrations, special events, and even the much-loved “Bring Your Pet to School” day. With small class sizes and exceptional pastoral care, every child is supported where they need it and challenged to reach their full potential.

Under her leadership, the Pre-Prep promises to be a happy, busy, and inspiring place – the perfect foundation for a lifetime of learning.
