John Clouston - BSc in Applied Sport Science with coaching at Northumbria University, PGCE with QTS at the University of Buckingham, Level 3 Rugby Union Coach, Level 2 Rugby Union referee, Level 2 Cricket Coach.
John has spent the last two years as head of rugby and head of boarding at Myddelton College in North Wales. Whilst completing his level 3 he has coached with the North Wales U15 development pathway. John spent two years at St. Peter’s School, York where he completed his PGCE teaching PE and sports across all age groups. John was also an assistant houseparent in the junior house while at St. Peter’s. Whilst studying at university, John spent two seasons teaching PE and coaching rugby at Hereworth School, a prep school in New Zealand. John was also part of the coaching team at Northumbria University.
Having boarded at Barnard Castle School since the age of 7, John is looking forward to returning to the region as Director of Sports in September.
