PP1 and PP2 took part in a workshop about the Fire of London. They learnt how medieval houses were constructed, and in groups used the wattle and daub technic to build a small wall of their own. They went on to look at the properties of the various materials used in construction and discussed the factors that contributed to the fire being so catastrophic. A memorable experience for all the children.
Nursery and Reception took part in a senses discovery workshop. The pupils were introduced to the 5 senses and they also enjoyed walking barefoot through sensory trays, looking at and listening to natural objects, and smelling a variety of herbs and spices. This was all intregrated with the story 'We are going on a bear hunt'
