Aysgarth pupil Maxwell has taken his first steps in political literacy by launching a heartfelt campaign to save Richmond Swimming Pool from closure. Motivated by his own joy and confidence gained through swimming lessons, seven-year-old Maxwell expressed how much the pool means to him, his friends, and the wider community. His thoughtful comments highlight the importance of such facilities in promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and connection. Maxwell's efforts led to 3165 paper & online signatures gathered before it was submitted last month. Maxwell’s initiative demonstrates compassion, leadership, and community spirit in action. Aysgarth School is incredibly proud of his efforts to make a positive difference.
