Aysgarth help to produce protective shields for Bedale Care Homes

When Rob Morse received a request from Bedale High School for assistance with a project for the local community he was delighted to be able to help.

The project was to produce much needed PPE visors for those working within local care settings. Emma-Jayne Emmott, Head of Art and Design Technology, was joined by Lynn Riley-Fox and Sarah Allsop, from Bedale High School, in the Aysgarth Design Technology Department. They used the Aysgarth School equipment and, over the course of several days, they managed to assemble over 60 visors which were delivered to five local care homes and nursing homes along with a joint letter from both schools. The staff in these care settings were extremely grateful for the much needed equipment.

This project was the first joint project with Bedale High School, and how fitting that it should be one that benefited the local community.

The care homes that received the visors were:
The Millings
Benkhill Lodge
Barchester Leeming Bar
Greenwell house
Bedale Grange
