We are delighted to share an important development for Aysgarth School. Aysgarth will join the Rugby School Group from 1 July 2025. This decision ensures the long-term success of our school while preserving everything that makes Aysgarth special.

While Aysgarth is thriving, the challenges facing independent schools—rising costs, VAT uncertainty, and demographic shifts—mean that long-term stability is key. The partnership with Rugby School provides significant investment but more importantly, it secures our future as the leading prep school in the North for generations to come.

Rugby School has a strategic vision for supporting elite prep schools with a strong boarding ethos. Aysgarth will remain true to its identity—our name, uniform, staff, and commitment to preparing pupils for a wide range of senior schools will not change. Rugby is investing in Aysgarth because of what we do best, and that will continue.
