Spotlight Shines on Aysgarth School: Celebrating Spectacular Success in Drama

Aysgarth School is celebrating an extraordinary set of results in this year’s LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations. A total of 72 pupils from PP1 to Form 5 took 84 exams – a substantial increase from 25 entries the previous year. Impressively, every pupil passed with either a merit or distinction, with 64 distinctions awarded in total.

This marks a significant growth in our LAMDA programme, with lots more entries than last year, thanks to the expansion into Pre-Prep and Form 1. We are especially proud that every Pre-Prep pupil and all group performances achieved distinctions.

Aysgarth School continues to champion the arts within a broad and balanced education, placing value on performance, creativity and character development. These results are a reflection of the dedication of both pupils and staff, particularly the inspirational leadership of Mr Bentham and the wider drama team.
