Aysgarth School is proud to reaffirm its commitment to community engagement by actively supporting the Storehouse Foodbank in Richmond. This work is essential given that many families continue to rely on vital support networks; it is estimated that 1 in 7 families will experience hunger this Christmas and beyond.
Our support began earlier in the term when Pre-Prep pupils donated essential provisions as part of their Harvest collection. These contributions were warmly welcomed by the team at Storehouse and provided an immediate boost to their stock.
As the festive season approached, the entire school community was invited to participate in the Reverse Advent appeal, offering a second, significant opportunity to support local families in need.
These initiatives are integral to the Aysgarth ethos, delivering not only practical assistance to our local area but also helping pupils understand the importance of kindness, empathy, and civic responsibility.
A special note of thanks goes to Mr. Gaven, all the dedicated members of the Charity Committee, and to every member of the Aysgarth community who donated and contributed to making this support possible.
